Yakutat Volunteer Fire Department will be conducting a live fire training at the old power house site on Saturday, May 25 between the hours of 9am and noon. A section of the road will be closed to thru traffic. What’s left of the building is class A wood material with no toxic burnable materials in or on the structure and poses no threat to the public. Weather permitting so smoke dissipates away from residents in the area.
