City & Borough of Yakutat Title 6.28
Up to $75,000 of assessed value owner-occupied residential property, shall be exempt from property taxation.
To qualify for tax exemption, the applicant must be the owner of record prior to January 1, 2026. Upon initial application, the owner must have been a resident of Yakutat, Alaska for the entire year of 2025. The property must be the applicant’s primary residence and permanent place of abode prior to January 1, 2026. In each subsequent year the property must be owned and occupied as the primary residence and permanent place of abode for at least 200 days prior to January 1, and when absent, the dwelling is not rented or leased to another.
